So, yes, I’m still alive. Just been on a holiday for three weeks. But now I’m back, and regular posting will resume.

Right after I came back from La belle France my mother dragged me to her allotment. She got a little carried away with planting vegetables this year and now has no less than 21(!) pumpkins trying to take over the garden. There’s various variaties, but my favorite one is a pumpkin called the Large Blue Hubbard (of course, I call it the L. Ron Hubbard, because I am twelve). These look like there props from ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’. Like this:

And that’s just a small one… I won’t be surprised when one of these fellas gets up and tries to take over the world (or befriends Tom Cruise, for that matter). In a few weeks time I’ll have huge amounts of pumpkin to work my magic on, can’t wait!

Anyway, while I was away I’ve done some thinking about the direction this site should move in and I’ve penned down some thoughts. I’ll share them with you this weekend. Of course, there’s plenty more cooking to be done, and I’ve got some new exciting recipes I’m working out. All in all, there’s plenty to do!
